Chest Grind Time Planner for Fortnite
Compare chest-opening plans using your available time, personal pace and an assumed drop chance. Explore scenarios without predicting a drop.
Plan a chest-opening session
The chest grind time planner is free to use and does not require an account. Enter your available minutes, personal opening pace and an assumed probability to compare a session plan.
Use your own observed speed, not a game-wide average. Count each chest once; no squad multiplier is applied. Minutes: 0–525,600; chests/hour: 0–10,000; denominator: a whole number from 2 to 1,000,000,000.
Conditional results
Results update when all three inputs are valid. No real opening speed or drop rate is assumed for you.
How to use this planner
Set your time budget
Enter the minutes you can play. Use a practical session length rather than the total time left in the season.
Enter your pace and probability assumption
Use your observed chests per hour, then choose a labeled scenario or enter a custom one-in denominator. Scenario probabilities are assumptions, not official rates.
Compare the conditional results
Results update when all three inputs are valid. Review the completed openings, chance of at least one find and time for the 50% and 90% probability scenarios.
Use a pace measured from your own sessions rather than assuming a chest-location count equals the number you can open. Travel, opponents and interruptions change your actual pace.
Measure your own opening pace with the manual chest tracker.
Frequently asked questions
The chest grind time planner is free to use and does not require an account. There is no paid calculation plan.
Results update in your browser when all three inputs are valid. The entered time, opening pace and probability are used in your browser to calculate a scenario.
No. Epic Games has not published an official drop rate. The model assumes a fixed, independent chance per opening; its target times are conditional scenarios rather than predictions of your next reward.
Use your own observed openings and time played. Potential chest spawn points are not a speed measurement, and travel, opponents and interruptions affect your pace.
No squad multiplier is applied. Estimated openings are the whole-number part of minutes multiplied by your chests per hour and divided by 60. Count each opening once.
Zero opening speed produces zero completed openings and zero modeled chance; a target time cannot be reached at that pace. Missing or invalid inputs show no scenario, and values outside the displayed limits need correction.
